Our Roots & Commitment

Food has always been close to our heart. Long before starting Agnes Farm, we found peace and purpose getting our hands in the soil, tending little backyard gardens, and dreaming about sharing these vibrant, healthy flavors. When the chance finally came to grow on a real patch of land in Brandywine, Maryland, we poured our love for food - and our memories of home - straight into the earth.
It's more than just planting; it's about keeping family traditions and cultural heritage alive with every vegetable that grows. The journey led us to the Maryland University Eastern Shore, where we earned certifications in soil health, organic composting, and natural fertilizers. That knowledge means every crop at Agnes Farm is nurtured with care, using time-tested, chemical-free methods that respect both the land and the people eating from it.
From seedling to harvest, we never use pesticides or commercial fertilizers. Instead, we work the way our ancestors taught us - with patience, respect, and a hands-on approach that brings out the best in our okra, callaloo, African eggplant, and all the other specialties that make our farm unique. When folks in our community are searching for hard-to-find, truly authentic vegetables, we want them to feel confident that they're taking home produce as healthy and natural as it gets. Agnes Farm is all about connecting you to food roots you can trust and flavors that matter. Come join our story, share in our harvest, and see what real, old-school farming can bring to your table.
